Neil turned professional in 1994 following an amateur career which included representing Yorkshire at all levels and England at school level.He studied Psychology and Military History at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte whilst on scholarship playing the NCAA Division One collage circuit, he won 5 times and set a university scoring record.

He graduated from his PGA training in the top 20 of his year, achieving A grades in Teaching, Equipment technology, Rules and Tournament administration.

Neil’s simple coaching philosophy is founded on enhancing individual abilities, in 12 years Neil has worked with players at every level and is able to coach both male and female pupils. His pupils have won events around the world including, European Amateur Championship, British Amateur Championship, many national and county events.

During his career Neil has spent time learning from coaches and player including, Butch Harmon, David Leadbetter, Peter Cowven and Nick Faldo. His published work includes many instruction articles and in 2006 released a comprehensive interactive DVD. "The Essential Golf Syllabus"

Neil is currently Director of Golf for Golf Holidays Limited and Hartford Golf Club’s PGA instructor.
